Hello, and thank you for stopping by to look at some of my work. I am a documentary style Lancashire wedding photographer based in Preston. I cover weddings throughout the North West and further afield. If you want a chilled documentary wedding photographer to capture all the fun and laughter on your special day, then look no further!

A natural approach to documentary wedding photography

My approach to wedding photography is very simple. I take unposed natural photographs of you and your partner celebrating your big day with your family and friends! I interfere as little as possible. As a result, there will be no awkward posing, and I won’t be asking you to pretend to do anything.

Great documentary wedding photography is all about capturing the real moments as they happen, so you can celebrate with your family and friends. I like to be as unobtrusive as possible. In other words, you and your guests won’t really know I’m there. A good example of this is I always leave you for at least half an hour after the wedding ceremony to just enjoy yourselves. Above all, I try to blend in with the guests so that you don’t notice me. This leaves you to get on with enjoying the party!

I am familiar with pretty much all of the Lancashire wedding venues and we are spoiled for choice with some stunning and stylish buildings set in idyllic locations. Having visited some of these many times, it still fascinates me that every wedding I photograph is completely different. To sum up my style, I approach every wedding with no preconceived ideas on the images I will be taking. This means I prefer to go with the flow capturing everything as it happens, and the result is a unique set of photographs. In conclusion, I am driven by the desire to tell the story of your day using photographs.

Book me and enjoy the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the photography on your big day is in the safe hands.

Capturing real emotions

I am always happy to shoot the details, portraits, and formal groups as these are almost always part of a wedding day. However, when you look through my albums you will see that my main focus is on photographing the real emotions. Capturing you and your partner celebrating with your family and friends is what I really love to photograph. Laughter and tears of joy are my favourite things!

I am often told that I have a chilled out personality which makes people feel at ease (more about me) This is why I am drawn towards photo’s which show people really enjoying themselves. My philosophy is that a photograph of a genuine moment means far more than something set up. This is why even during the getting ready part of the day I won’t be asking you to pretend and pose. Above all, my aim is always to take timeless images which will make you and your partner smile in the future. I want you to look back at all the amazing moments from your special day and know that they were real!

How I see the world

When you look through my albums from across Lancashire, my hope is that you will get a peek into how I see the world. In short, my real passion is taking interesting and quirky photographs which beautifully capture a moment in time.

I look forward to getting to know you and your partner to discuss your wedding. Hopefully, I’ll get the chance to tell the story of your big day in my own unique style as your wedding documentary photographer.

Every photographer sees the world in a different way, and I like to capture the joy, laughter, and romance of every wedding I am involved in. Please have a look through some of my work, and I hope you enjoy how I see the world.
