Sandhole Oak Barn Wedding Photography with Matt and Helen

Matt and Helen’s wedding at Sandhole Oak Barn in Cheshire was a great day from beginning to end. I was recommended to the couple by my friend Dave who’s wife is the groom’s sister. This was the second wedding I have photographed at Sandhole Oak Barn, and knowing that it is such a stunning venue, I was really looking forward to this wedding. A few days before, the weather forecast was looking decidedly dodgy, but we lucked out with a gorgeous sunny day with blue skies. Both Matt and Helen got ready at the venue which I love. It means … Read More

Ferraris Country House Hotel Wedding Photography with David and Terri

I was lucky enough to be asked to photograph David and Terri’s beautiful wedding at Ferraris Country House Hotel. The sun shone all day and we were treated to blue skies on a wonderful British summers day. After the Bridal prep, Terri made her way to Ferraris Country House Hotel on a gorgeous horse-drawn carriage where all their family and friends were waiting for them to arrive. The ceremony was held outside in Ferrari’s purpose-built dovecote, and it was a lovely wedding to photograph. After the confetti and a few formal family photographs, everyone got on with enjoying the day … Read More

Clifton Arms Hotel Wedding Photography with Stephen and Michelle

I had been looking forward to photographing Stephen and Michelle’s wedding at the Clifton Arms Hotel ever since I met them at a wedding the previous year. I’m normally very looky with the weather, but on this day it ran out as Storm Callum hit us with 50mph winds and plenty of rain. I always tell couples that weather does not influence whether or not you have a great day. Yes, sunshine is lovely, but If you embrace the weather and roll with it, you will have a super day because as we know it is the people that really … Read More

Beech Hill Hotel Wedding Photography with Gary and Rachel

Gary and Rachel’s wedding was originally going to be photographed by my good friend Rob. Unfortunately, due to Ill health, I stepped in and what a great day it was. The venue was the Beech Hill Hotel on the banks of Lake Windermere, and although the weather was looking very ominous, on the day, the sun shone and everything was perfect. Whenever couples get married who have children, they are obviously an important part of the day. Along with the bridesmaid’s children, the room was a busy hive of activity full of laughter and a few tears! I love the … Read More

Last Drop Village Hotel Wedding Photography with Dave and Serena

Dave and Serena’s wedding at the Last Drop Village Hotel in Bolton, Lancashire was forecast to be a very wet day. Fortunately for everyone, the sun came out to play, and the whole day was a great success. When I first walked through the doors of the Last Drop village hotel, I was confronted with a smashed cake! Unfortunately, accidents like this do happen every now and again, but luckily the cake decorator did a great job and managed to sort it all out by the afternoon! Serena got ready with her friend, her sister, and her two daughters. The … Read More

Meols Hall wedding photography with Simon and Hannah

Meols Hall is one of my favourite wedding venues in Lancashire, and Simon and Hannah’s big day was definitely one of this year’s weddings which I was really looking forward to photographing. One of the reasons I enjoy working at Meols Hall is the wonderful outdoor spaces. The old cobbled courtyard is perfect for the drinks reception, and the beautiful old barn which oozes character is the perfect place for a modern wedding ceremony. When it comes to getting ready, everyone is different, and Hannah only wanted me at the house for the last forty-five minutes before she left. This … Read More
