One of the great pleasures of wedding photography is the chances I get to work alongside some of the best photographers and videographers in the North West. Last Summer I got the chance to assist Michael Harper of Capture my big day at the wedding of Josh and Victoria at Alcumlow hall farm.
I met Josh at the beautiful old church, St Johns, in Norley where he arrived with his groomsmen. The sun was shining, and I knew it was going to be a great day. An hour or so later Victoria arrived looking stunning, and there was a lovely sense of anticipation as she waited nervously outside the church.
The ceremony was lovely, with a really friendly priest and after it, everyone headed outside to participate in the confetti. There was plenty of smiling and laughter as friends and family chatted and congratulated the new bride and groom.
The reception was held at Alcumlow Hall farm in Cheshire, which is set in an idyllic location, with views towards Mow Cop Castle. The venue has a very relaxed feel and is a great place to celebrate a wedding. Josh and Victoria are both lovely people, and in the lovely weather, we were all able to spend large parts of the day outside in the stunning grounds of Alcumlow Hall farm.
Obviously Michael took the lead in the photography, which meant that I had lots of time to do what I really love which is wandering around capturing the guests having a great time.
Following the first dance, we were blessed with a gorgeous sunset which allowed us the chance to head behind the venue for ten minutes to capture some images of the couple in the romantic warm evening light with the golden sun creating a very romantic scene.
If you are getting married at Alcumlow Hall farm and would like a documentary-style photographer to photograph your big day, it would be my pleasure.
