Cote How is situated near the banks of Rydal water which is one of the most picturesque places in the lake district. Stephen and Rachel wanted a very relaxed fairly small wedding where they could celebrate with their family and closest friends. Cote How specialises in this kind of wedding, and as a family run business, the personal touch and great attention to detail made this wedding feel very special.
Following the intimate ceremony, it was outside for reception drinks. As you can expect any time in the Lake District, it was raining, but after the shower blew through, we captured some lovely group photos in the stunning grounds, then it was into the beautiful barn for the wedding breakfast. The ambience there really is wonderful, and it made for some great photographic opportunities.
Being so close to Rydal Water, it seemed like a great idea for everyone to have a wander down to the water’s edge after we had eaten, and the chilled out atmosphere continued.
Over the years, I have often told couples, that things like the weather don’t really affect a wedding, and in fact, it is the people who make a great day, and this wedding was proof of that. Although there were only around 20 guests, the evening celebrations were wild with drinking and dancing, and everyone having a great time. A truly brilliant day with an amazing couple, this is how to celebrate your wedding!
If you are getting married at Cote How, and like the idea of having an unobtrusive documentary style wedding photographer, why not drop me a message, and It would be a privilege to be your wedding photographer.
