Rob and Stephanie are one of those great chilled out couples who really wanted to enjoy their day. From the very first time we got chatting about their wedding at Beeston Manor, I knew it was going to be the kind of day which I just love to photograph.
I have photographed many weddings at Beeston Manor over the past few years. Last year it won the North-West venue of the year, and I can see why with the stunning surroundings and the great customer service you get at this very friendly family run business.
I started out at Stephanie’s parents’ house for the bridal preparations, and a good friend of mine and very talented photographer Michael from Capture My big Day photographed Rob getting ready. There was a great mixture of tension and laughter which made for a really good morning.
From there we headed to a beautiful local church called Brindall St James. Following the beautiful ceremony, the guests showered the couple with confetti before we all headed off to Beeston Manor.
the weather on this day was quite challenging, but as is usually the case, we did get some considerable periods of dry weather in which we were able to head outside for the formal family photos, and we also took the bride and groom off for a wander to take some natural-looking portraits. Most couples do want a set of portrait-style images, and I am always happy to do these throughout the day, and there are not many better venues in my opinion for outdoor photography than Beeston Manor. With the big skies and wide vistas, there is always a great shot to be had!
One thing I love at a wedding is great entertainment, and Rob and Stephanie had a superb musician Alex Birtwell who has a great voice to accompany his guitar playing, but more than that, he is a brilliant entertainer who really gets the party going. The section of the day following the wedding breakfast was amazing fun, and the pictures show you how much everyone was enjoying themselves, and this party atmosphere carried on late into the evening with everyone having a great time.
If you are considering getting married at Beeston Manor, or in fact anywhere in Lancashire and would like me to photograph your big day, it would be my pleasure.
