Gibbon Bridge Wedding photography

Gibbon Bridge is one of the best settings in Lancashire for wedding photography, so as soon as David and Tara asked me to shoot their big day, I was really looking forward to it. In the North West of England we get used to checking the weather, but it was not necessary for this wedding. The sky was blue and the sun shone all day, creating the perfect conditions for the couple and their guests to relax and enjoy the celebrations.

The outdoor space at the Gibbon Bridge Hotel is beautiful, and as David and Tara said their vows with friends and family looking on, there was an amazing feeling of joy in the air. Following the ceremony, the rest of the day was all about love and laughter with lots of dancing. This was the first time I had photographed Israeli dancing, and I must say it was a great experience. After all the spinning around and energetic dancing, the couple were lifted up on chairs and bounced up and down much to the amusement of all the onlookers including myself.

The couple wanted to keep the formal photos brief with not much time spent taking portraits either which suits me as it allowed me plenty of time to focus on capturing the natural shots, and actually, the five or ten minutes I spent with the newlyweds in the gardens produced plenty of lovely images.

After a wonderful meal and speeches, the party continued long into the night, and I have to say that I will definitely look forward to photographing more Jewish weddings in the future, because they certainly know how to celebrate a wedding.

Tara and David are wonderful people and it was a real pleasure to be their wedding photographer at the amazing Gibbon Bridge.
