Dave and Serena’s wedding at the Last Drop Village Hotel in Bolton, Lancashire was forecast to be a very wet day. Fortunately for everyone, the sun came out to play, and the whole day was a great success.
When I first walked through the doors of the Last Drop village hotel, I was confronted with a smashed cake! Unfortunately, accidents like this do happen every now and again, but luckily the cake decorator did a great job and managed to sort it all out by the afternoon!
Serena got ready with her friend, her sister, and her two daughters. The was a lovely calm feeling in the morning, with lots of smiles and laughter. Her make up was done by Dollface Lisa Christie, and when she walked down the aisle, everyone was impressed by how beautiful she looked.
I worked all day with Nick Malone who was a genuine pleasure to work with. Sometimes videographers can make it harder to work in a discreet manner, and being a documentary wedding photographer, that is very important to me. Nick worked with me and we both managed to get some great work.
All in all, it was a super day and we were even treated to some amazing light later in the day when we headed out to do some portraits. We kept it all quite natural, but when I spotted the blue shipping container, I just had to get a shot using the strong blue colours.
If you are considering getting married at the Last Drop Village Hotel, drop me a message, and I would be very happy to discuss your wedding photography with you.
