Sam and Kate attended a wedding I photographed a year or so ago and when they decided to get married shortly after that, they asked me to be their wedding photographer. The event took place at The Biscuit Factory in Newcastle upon Tyne. As the name suggests, this venue is an old commercial premises which has been converted into an art gallery. What a stunning place to get married, surrounded by wonderful art in a light and spacious setting. This was my first same-sex wedding, and it really was a beautiful day. From beginning to end there was plenty of laughter and lots of tears of joy as this wonderful couple celebrated their love for one another surrounded by friends and family. Not a shy couple, we even headed out onto the millennium bridge in the middle of the city for a photoshoot which caused quite a stir, but was great fun! I hope you enjoy looking through my photo’s from the day with lots of natural candid moments which is how I love to photograph weddings. I also tried to incorporate the amazing art on display in as many of the images as I could. If you are getting married and would love this kind of photography for your big day, it would be my pleasure.
