The Cragwood Hotel in the Lake District is a wonderful venue to get married in. I was asked by Emma and Tony to photograph their elopement wedding last year, and it was the first wedding of this type that I have photographed. I initially wondered how it would go, but it was actually a wonderful few hours spent with an amazing couple who were truly in love.
Following the ceremony, we headed outside to do some photography by the lake. The weather was atrocious that day, but we were lucky and headed out during a break in the rain. As I always do, I like to keep the portrait shoot very relaxed, and I just let them be themselves and act very naturally. I suggested the odd thing, but in the main, it is just me walking around capturing photos of them having a great time. When one of the Windermere ferries sailed by, it let out a toot on its horn, and I captured the moment. I know that this is a photo which Tony and Emma love.
If you are getting married at The Cragwood Hotel in Cumbria, and especially if you are having an elopement, it would be my pleasure to be your wedding photographer, and I will happily offer you a discount seeing as it is just the two of you.
